C++Tutorial for Beginners 43 - References; Nicer than Pointers!

Pointers are great, but there's an even easier way to handle the business of passing variables to subroutines which the subroutines then change; it's called "references". References are aliases to existing variables, and allow you to pass objects around economically, without copying them and without having to deal with those tricky and easily-mishandled pointers.
